MANS October Info

Hi MANS members,
Just wanted to let everyone know that the 2nd Portfolio training scheduled for tomorrow, Tuesday October 6th has been postponed. The training will occur at a later date due to some additional information that is needing to be obtained.
Also, officers attended the KANS conference this weekend and was provided with some really great information, especially in regards to NCLEX review sessions.  A brochure will be placed on the MANS board re: the HURST review.  We would love to bring the HURST review to Midway.  Please see the brochure and ask any questions to a MANS officer.
One more thing….Check the board frequently for upcoming activities!  We are planning to join with the SGA for trunk or treat this month, cards for VETS and MANS election next month, Simon House collections and other activities still to be determined😊

Leadership Portfolio Meeting

Midway MANS will be hosting the Leadership Portfolio informational meeting within the next couple weeks. This meeting will take place in the nursing classroom (AHR 103) on Wednesday, September 30th at 1600. Ashley Waid (MANS President) and Megan Coots (MANS VP) will be helping students with frequently asked questions and provide examples of what a completed portfolio looks like.

It has been brought to my attention that the September 30th date does not work for the NSG 115 night students. It is equally important that the night students have this information so I have planned a separate meeting for them. The other meeting will take place in the nursing classroom on Tuesday, October 6th at 1700. Students other than NSG 115 are welcome to attend this date/time if the other date conflicts with their schedule.

Please let me know if you have any questions and I hope to see everyone soon!

Pre-Nursing Students Welcome!

Midway MANS now accepts pre-nursing students! We have already had 2 pre-nursing students  join MANS this semester. If you know any interested pre-nursing students, then please send them our way! You may have them contact any of the officers to get an application or stop by the MANS board (located outside of the nursing classroom). Completed applications and payment should go to our MANS Treasurer, Emily Jacobsen.

MANS Kickoff Meeting

Hello MANS members,
Hope everyone is getting off to a great start to a new semester.  We are excited about the new academic year and all the activities that MANS has planned.  We will start our new year with a kickoff meeting on Wednesday, September 9th at 4:00.  We hope to see all members at this meeting as we will be discussing the upcoming activities, talking about study skills and the KANS conference.  Also, please remember to check the MANS board outside of the classroom and the MANS website as well periodically for additional club information.
*If you know someone who is interested in joining MANS or who may not be receiving this e-mail, please have them contact one of the officers.
