MANS would like to congratulate Kristie Stambaugh (NSG 115) on her new position as KANS Secretary for 2016! Kristie was elected on October 4th, 2015 at the KANS Conference in Lexington, KY, held at the Embassy Suites.
Congrats, Kristie! We know you will do an excellent job!
Midway MANS will be hosting the Leadership Portfolio informational meeting within the next couple weeks. This meeting will take place in the nursing classroom (AHR 103) on Wednesday, September 30th at 1600. Ashley Waid (MANS President) and Megan Coots (MANS VP) will be helping students with frequently asked questions and provide examples of what a completed portfolio looks like.
It has been brought to my attention that the September 30th date does not work for the NSG 115 night students. It is equally important that the night students have this information so I have planned a separate meeting for them. The other meeting will take place in the nursing classroom on Tuesday, October 6th at 1700. Students other than NSG 115 are welcome to attend this date/time if the other date conflicts with their schedule.
Please let me know if you have any questions and I hope to see everyone soon!
Ashley Waid – MANS President
Midway MANS now accepts pre-nursing students! We have already had 2 pre-nursing students join MANS this semester. If you know any interested pre-nursing students, then please send them our way! You may have them contact any of the officers to get an application or stop by the MANS board (located outside of the nursing classroom). Completed applications and payment should go to our MANS Treasurer, Emily Jacobsen.
Hello MANS members,
Hope everyone is getting off to a great start to a new semester. We are excited about the new academic year and all the activities that MANS has planned. We will start our new year with a kickoff meeting on Wednesday, September 9th at 4:00. We hope to see all members at this meeting as we will be discussing the upcoming activities, talking about study skills and the KANS conference. Also, please remember to check the MANS board outside of the classroom and the MANS website as well periodically for additional club information.
*If you know someone who is interested in joining MANS or who may not be receiving this e-mail, please have them contact one of the officers.
We plan on having this meeting in the nursing classroom. We will let everyone know if the location changes.
This meeting will have a brief info session about MANS, cover study skills for nursing, and discuss the KANS conference.
This meeting will end at 1700.
Joining KANS is a great way to earn leadership points, and it’s easy too! If you join NSNA then you are automatically a member of KANS! Need more information before making a decision? Check out KANS on Facebook or at their new and improved website.
